Ljubljana, 09 December (STA) – A round panel debate on human rights held at the Ljubljana Faculty of Law on Wednesday saw the participants agree that in addition to having an active stance, prevention has an important role as the most effective phase in the provision of human rights, especially from the aspect of humanity.
Parliamentary Speaker Milan Brglez said at the debate organised on the eve of Human Rights Day that there would be no human rights at all without people who were fighting for them. He finds it important that Slovenia continues with its efforts in the field of human rights both at civil and political levels. You cannot demand from someone what you do not do yourself, Brglez said, admitting that there were no countries which would be completely innocent when it came to human rights.
